Filipino Sewing Kit Pin, a history.

Filipino Sewing Kit Pin, a history.
Ever since I was a kid, I have always seen these tins not as a container for cookies, but as a Filipino sewing kit. I have many many cherished memories of my great grandma and her single patterned, handmade outfits. Hopefully there are others out there with similar memories and our pins are a way to keep them alive for you as well.

I like to feel out what the piece is asking for, what technique will fit the mood best, but even in my penciled pieces, there is still a defining line contour, so that is definitely the vein that runs through all my work. I love a strong, defining line, but I’ll mix it up once in a while.
